Great article! I was duped into this too, but I wouldn't dump my 20lb pig when he grew to be 120lbs! (and he wasn't obese) I loved him for 17 years. Its amazing that the breeders are still up to the same old tricks, anything to make a buck!

I'm on my third pig...not teacup. First one was small at 93 lbs. Second was 130+ (not fat) pounds and this one, I don't have a poundage on, but well over 130. All my pigs to me are small. I have seen some over the years that were smaller, but rare. Pet pigs are not tiny, but they are the most intelligent and loving pet. May everyone who breeds and sells a "teacup" get the same health problems there pigs do. :)

This is very sad Animals are mistreated they are only an item to make money off its so very sad they have feelings and feel pain I think this practice is horrible. People should not buy this animal for a pet.

I found the article to be informative and very well written.I hope the first time pig buyer sees this site before purchasing a pig. It could save some innocent potbellied pig from being dumped.
